What can I do with a degree in Biomedical Science?

Hi,
I'm currently applying to university and I'm planning on studying biomed. But I have heard that there is not much you can do with a degree in biomed, especially because a lot of people choose it as their back-up when applying to medicince? Is that true? Are there any other options except becoming a biomedical scientist? I don't want to do graduate medicine either, I'm choosing this course because of my interest in human and medical biology.

Thank you
what you have to realise that there basically two kinds of BMS degree

1. accredited degrees for people who will go on to work as BMS in the lab setting supportign clinical services

2. the unaccredited 5th choice / didn't get a med offer courses

you of course have the option of the 'generic' any -degreejobs ...
Many universities give you the opportunity to focus on subject areas within biological sciences meaning that you could in theory go into research with the degree.
