pharmacy and pharmacology: what's the difference?

i mean, i know pharmacology is related to the way in which drugs affect the human body, so there's some bio in there... and pharmacy is just more - what - chemistry based?

how do the careers from each degree differ also? what would make somebody choose pharmacology over pharmacy or pharmacy over pharmacology?

just basically anything you can think of because i'm having a liiiittle bit of difficulty making my mind up about which one pls thnx

well pharmacy is actually making drugs and dispensing whereas pharmacology is reaserach into drugs which imo sounds boring.
Ive also been meaning to ask this question which one is better?

pharmacy all the way, the entry requirements for pharmacology are lower
Pharmacology is the study of how drugs interact with living organsims to produce a change in a particular function.

Pharmacy however is a degree which can lead you to become a pharmacist, where you learn about how to safely dispense drugs and the aspects involved with prescribing medication. Pharmacology is an aspect of pharmacy.

You do realise that pharmacology makes up quite a large proportion of the pharmacy degree?
