Conservatives policies the reason for their victory in 1951?

I have an essay question for homework which is To what extent was the outcome of the October 1951 election the result of the Conservatives policies?

I can find plenty of other reasons for the result of the election, but none that talk specifically about the Tory policies. From what I can establish they largely followed a lot of the Labour policies that were implemented in the previous government, i.e. the welfare state and Keynesian economic reforms, etc. Does anyone have any more specific information on the Tory policies prior to this election?
