grammar school vs top sets in comprehensive schools?

I am in year 13 and was not sure about applying to a grammar school for sixth form too. In the end I chose to stay at my school for A levels for a few reasons.

1) My friends would be staying
2) When it comes to applying to universities your teachers will know you better so in terms of when they write your reference and predict you grades, you can have a greater impact on that side of things.

In terms of the ability to cope with the work, I think that if you are self motivated and can deal with pressure then you'll be fine. At grammar schools the amount of work you get will probably be more however the difficulty will be relatively similar as A levels are A levels regardless of where you do them.

Hope this has helped a little.
