an example to put it in context: "_________ devalues the relevancy of the information"

if not. What other way is there to say "_______ makes _____ less relevant" or "_______ takes away from how relevant it is"?

For starters, there should be no apostrophe in the "its".

Do you mean reduces its relevancy, as relevancy rarely has a value.
