Question about a level maths!!

I am currently doing EDEXCEL A Level maths. I know that you have to do 6 modules in total. The one's I'm doing are: C1,C2,C3,C4, S1 and M1.

I was wondering what happens if I do an EXTRA module. So if I do S1, M1 AND S2 for my applied modules what happens? how does it affect my grade? Do the two highest grades out of three applied modules count or does doing an extra module mean that it might bring my grade down?


The reason im considering doing an extra module (S2) is because I thought that if I do so then I might have something to fall back on in case I didn't do well in M1 or something..

I'm pretty sure they would take the best 2 modules... but you have to remember if they take S2 they HAVE to take S1 and not M1. Any other combination would be ok though.
