I would recommend applying for intercollegite residence- the area is literaly amazing, and you will have a great time. The halls may not be as nice as stamford street, but food is included which is not that bad, and the local area is much nicer and more student freindly than waterloo (bloomsbury)

Brian Creamer House sounds like the party dorm this year (Lambeth).
GREAT DOVER STREET!!!!!I have a mahoosively mahoosive room...it rocks greatly! My flatmates and I think it used to be a double room or something...another bed could quite easily fit in here.

It has an ensuite too...but I should warn you...the toilet is inside the shower...:p:

Tell me about it. I've got an audition in exactly 1 hour and seven minutes, and I can't even speak properly, let alone sing!

Great Dover street is great, it has really good transport links, the rooms are nice, the people are friendly and there is a good atmosphere.
It is a 5 minute walk to london bridge and it's really nice to walk by the river or into the city if you feel like it.
It's expensive, but worth the money, and far better than intercoll's, most of which are waaaay overpriced and catered (dunno that may be a bonus for you, but personally i'd prefer to make my own food).
Stamford street are apparently good, most people put that as their first choice, but tbh i am glad i got great dover, i think i am happier here than what i would've been at SSA.
Every single person i have spoken to has liked their accommodation (even those in hampstead, which is really far out).
Depends what you are looking for in accomm and your budget i suppose.

I reckon the best accommodations in Kings are Stamford Street Apts and Great Dover Street Apts.

Stamford Street has nice rooms and a great location, but I do agree that halls are more sociable than apartments.
I mean, apartments are exactly the same as halls, just with more doors.
Bloody safety measures. It's so frustrating - you can socialise loads with the apartment opposite but the one equally close, in the next block, you can't. You can hear them the other side of the fire door but can we open the door? No! Bloody rediculous.
