I have! A* in Maths A*AA in Physics, Biology, Chemistry in any order

I think I'll firm it regardless of what reply I get from Oxford. I just want to specialise straight away. It looks sooo interesting!!

Has anyone heard back for Aeronautical Engineering yet?

They responded to me last night at 10.30, and I had my interview on the 26th.
What was their response? And what did you get in the maths test at interview?

Its very interesting. The course outline is fantastic, and it's Imperial! What more could one possibly ask for? I won't be that bummed if I get a rejection from Cambridge (I think). What's your offer like?

I have already got an A* for Maths. So its A*AA for Physics Chem Further Maths any order! Same, I dont think I care much if I get rejected from Oxford. I want to specalise straight away haha.
They gave me an offer for aeronautical engineering

A*A*A in maths, further maths and physics, but thankfully I got the maths A* last year.

In the interview day maths test I flunked and got 190/400, so I'm really surprised that I got an offer. I think it might have been because I went for all of them and got 27/40 right, but the 8 I got wrong screwed me over.

Friday night at 10.30. Other people I've spoken to got theirs at roughly the same time. Bear in mind that Imperial breaks for Christmas on Saturday, it looks like they did a bunch of offers the night before they all went home.
Just got my offer for aero - A* in physics.

What a relief.
Imperial isn't giving out anymore offers until january 6th because they're one christmas break right? I know that students from there broke up on 19th dec. Has anybody recieved an offer afted 19th? Just wondering because I'm still waiting on mine xD

I got an offer for Material Science and Engineering from Imperial. Requires 38/42 in the IB with 6 in Math and physics and a minimum 5 in English. Any other material scientists out there?

38/42?! Does it mean that TOK and EE are not included in the 38 points?

I'm still waiting on mine too; I checked the thread for last year and some people were getting offers on the 23rd so maybe they can still give offers.

meh not waiting anymore because they already rejected me. that was 2 days ago. Sad bit is that I got rejected because my answers weren't as strong on the technical questions yet other candidates who had their interviews on the same day as me had no technical questions what so ever. Mehhh. Good luck to you though! (:

That's a tough offer! It is much harder to get 38/42 points than AAA in a-levels!

Maybe you should call Imperial, it seems weird that the offer is not out of 45, considering that the website says

"For students studying the International Baccalaureate, we require an overall score of 38 points for all courses at BEng and MEng level. This must include a 6 in both Mathematics and Physics at Higher level."

and the word "overall" implies that it should be out of 45.

oh really? I thought it was on 42 points because Oxford, Durham all are on 42 points and Imperial is the same level. I'm so confused now.

I know that Canadian universities tend to give out offers using the /42 scale, but I'm pretty sure no univeristies in the UK disregards EE+TOK. Durham is almost definitely /45.

Who told you that the offer is out of /42?
