chemistry degree then a masters in chemical engineering? Help needed

Hi, i have wanted to become a chemical engineer the only this is that i have not done maths for an A Level so i cant do a degree in it. I am planning on getting a chemistry degree then do a Masters in chemical engineering at the University Of Manchester. What do you think? Would employers own upon me and would the masters give me as much knowledge as someone with a 3 year degree in it? Thanks in advance!
