Commuting into Uni from Birmingham

I've just sent of my uni application to study sociology from September 2015. I already have my Alevels and have already met the grades required for my course. I'm just wondering if anyone plans or already does commute to Warwick from Birmingham to get to uni. How much does it cost on public transport, should I just drive in? How long is it? Car parking around the uni? I don't really want to move out of my home but I'm still looking to socialise as much as anyone esle...will I be missing out of bucket loads of fun by commuting in?

That's a long commute and personally I wouldn't reccomend it especially if you use public transport as you will spend a lot of time travelling taking time away both social and academic activities.

It's around the 21/23 mile mark and can take roughly 40/50 mins to get there from my home address according to google maps. I am used to travelling as it used to take me 90mins to get to college via public transport. I had to leave at 0630!! What time do lectures start and finish do you know?
40/50 minutes in absolutely perfect conditions with minimal traffic. In more reasonable conditions, you're going to be looking at a whole lot more than that.

True. I do have a mate that commutes in via train and bus everyday. I should really ask her if I can get hold of her. Thanks anyway.

I did it for a year (driving) and it wasn't tooooo bad. Much preferred living in Brum than Cov! Whenever there was a night out or drinking I just got the train+bus that day instead, and it wasn't too much trouble. However, the drive home at rush hour took forever - better to wait an hour (find the library!) or finish early if your course lets you do that.

How long is the drive from Birmingham to Warwick. I live very near to the town centre.

Which town centre?

Took me 40-45 mins from Snow Hill to campus.

I live about a 20/25 min walk from moor street train station. So quite near to town.
