Depression, PGCE, fitness to teach

I've been diagnosed with depression. This was only today and I sent of my application last week so I have not declared it on the UCAS form. However, on the health tests that universities do, I will have to declare my depression. I was wondering if this diagnosis will hinder my chances off being able to remain on the PGCE as the health form has to decide if we are fit to teach. Is there anybody out there who is aware of or has experienced this issue and what happened? Thanks guys.
I know teachers who suffer with depression and they do find it tough, it shouldn't stop you from doing your degree though especially since it's a condition that can be managed.

I had the same problem last year (now on a PGCE course) it will be fine, they just might want more info from your dr.
I suffer and declared it. I got on the course fine, no questions asked. They're not trying to eliminate you, they need to know so they can support you.
