Best Accommodation to apply for if studying Social Anthropology?

Hey!
I've got an offer from Manchester to study social anthropology which I'm very excited about, and I'm trying to figure out which halls are best for me.

I want them to be self catered because I've heard catered isn't that great, and I also want it to be close to my lectures (i need a lot of sleep). Are the lectures in the Arthur Lewis building or elsewhere?

I've heard Fallowfield is better for socialising, but City Centre sounds appealing because I'm lazy and don't want to trek......

I'm also gonna be taking french in my free credits, so somewhere that isn't too far away from that either would also be good.
Any current students or prospective students who know more than me care to share?

Looks like that even if you did go to a Fallowfield hall the buses are plentiful from there along Oxford Road and up to the university, so it wouldn't be much of a walking trek anyway, Origami is your best bet for an answer to this Q.
There are no teaching spaces in Arthur Lewis - it's basically just offices for academics, a common room, computer cluster and a cafe.

Social anthropology is taught all over the university - social sciences tend to be fairly nomadic in that regard.

Don't worry about the distance between Fallowfield and main campus - because the buses are so good, it can often take longer to walk from city halls than it does to just get the bus in from Fallowfield. Have a read of this http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2091577
