Genius or social?

Would you rather be a genius and have terrible social skills (from studying a a lot ) or someone with amazing social skills but not very academic?

Hmmm..be an extremely social person and intelligent minus the nerd part...
Amazing social skills and not academic. I find myself to be a very lonely and unhappy person when I am without friends and unable to socialize, being a genius would not bring me happiness.
I'd fit into the smart and socially inept category, which I think I'm okay with. I don't make friends easily even though (I think) I'm friendly enough, it's just difficult for me to get past the first awkward are-we-friends-can-I-insult-you-sarcastically-yet phase. I'd rather have a few very good friends who know me well rather than lots of acquaintances. Plus Christmas and birthdays are cheaper

Unfortunately, I fit the typical 'academic/intelligent' category, with social skills that leave much to be desired.

I'm extremely sociable when drunk, though. Lol. That's how I've met most of my friends.
Is the academic brilliance brilliant enough to make a significant contribution to human progress? If so I'd take that option.
Currently I don't have either, so I think I'd have genius - seems a lot more useful than making friends easily to me.
As a merely intelligent person with fairly poor social skills, i'd could do with being a genius yeah.

But you'd be able to make lots of money and drown yourself in sensual pleasures, which is even better

Don't really care much about money to be honest, as long as I have enough to pay bills and eat without worry.

Power and wealth is all that is required for happiness, and the more the merrier.

Yeah I'm a social guy but I'd sacrifice my own happiness if it meant I could make a really meaningful contribution to science/mathematics.
A genuis and terrible social issues.
I mean, who doesn't have a burning desire to absorb each concept and understand it exceptionally, craving for knowledge continuously?
Knowledge is great! I love it!
