Hi, I have no clue as to which Uni I want to goto however I am certain that I want to study to become a Primary School Teacher... Where do I go from here?
Thanks in advance
Hi, I'm also wanting to do Primary education, I've applied to the university of Huddersfield, Leeds Beckett, York St. John's, and the University of Cumbria.

All of these should have open days coming up.

I also have looked at Northumbria and Edgehill  when will you be applying?

Hi, thank you!! I'll see if I can make the open days  I'm not applying until next year however my College Tutor is getting us to write 5 choices down which is scary because I have not looked properly and universities :s-smilie:
Thank you for your help!!
I do primary education at MMU and I love it  Get loads of placement over the 3 years and at the start of a course you are placed in a group of around 25 people who you do all your classes with over the 3 years, we are like a family its great

Hello!

I am a current student at the University of Reading and whilst I do not study Education, I can definitely recommend the university to study it! Education is based at the London Road Campus at university and has a very good reputation. Currently the university ranks number 3 in the country for Education according to the Guardian league table. If you choose to specialise in a subject you can choose from Art, English, Maths and Music. It is an incredibly immersive course which sees you do some classroom work in your first year! The university has great links with the local schools. The people I know who study Education are enjoying it immensely and say the experience that you get within the course is invaluable. For more info please visit the page: http://www.reading.ac.uk/education/

As for the university itself, there are two campuses and the London Road campus which the Education degree uses is nearer to town. You will however still use the main campus quite a lot which is lovely and green. There are so many activities to choose from at university you can join many societies including photography, anime, poker, fashion etc The list goes on and can be found in full here: http://www.rusu.co.uk/activities/
As for the town, there are also lots of things to do with a big shopping centre, various clubs, restaurants and cafes often with live music and events.

I've really enjoyed my time at the uni and cannot recommend it enough! An open day will be coming up in 2015 however you are welcome to visit the university at your own accord. Campus tours run regularly so do get in touch.

Feel free to ask any questions,
Pip, third year English Literature and History of Art
