I now have an unconditional offer for Arch' at Durham (Van Mildert). I am really rather pleased (I made celebratory mince pies...that's how glad I am).
    so jealous
I have an offer from Bristol BBC but I'm not too bothered to be honest
I want to hear from Durham since it's the only one left and a possible contender for my firm offer,
I also really want to hear from Cardiff. It's extremely irritating when you know you have an offer, but don't know what it is

Doesn't it mention the grades on track? (Click on the course code).

I'm sure Durham will respond soon. Good luck!

    nope
Cardiff have sent me an e-mail saying I have an offer, and have more recently sent me a letter inviting me to an open day, but there is nothing on UCAS yet
I sent them an e-mail yesterday checking that nothing had gone wrong so hopefully should hear something soon :s:

So far all I've had from Durham is a letter telling me they recieved the application. I'm guessing it might take a while for an offer. Grr.

a letter saying they've recieved it is an improvement on me. I havn't even got that. I wonder why? when I'm applying for exactly the same as you. When did you apply?

I applied on the 1st November and got the letter by the 15th.. if it doesnt turn up in a few days, you could try ringing them to check they recieved it? All it says is that their offers process is slightly different, etc, so it may take them longer to reply with offers/rejections. Its also got a number so you can track your application. If you ring them up and tell them you haven't recieved your letter yet, they'd probably tell you the tracking number too, so you can see whats going on with it.

I might just do that, but I just don't want them to decide they hate me because I keep contacting them.
That's really annoying though, I applied on the 5th October
Cardiff's is still not on UCAS and is really annoying me now!

Any luck with Durham yet? Mine appears to have got stuck with the department rather than getting passed on to the college.. I'm guessing that isnt a good sign

Don't be so pessimistic. Durham are notorious for taking ages with responces, just relax and concentrate on your A-Levels - worrying will not speed the process up.

Oh bugger. Rejected from Durham. Looks like I'll have to revert to Plan B.

If only I knew what Plan B was..

    Good luck with the interview!

    Re: An Archaeology splinter sub-sub-forum
I finally recieved my acknowledgement letter from Durham this morning, (I sent them an e-mail saying I han't recieved it on Sunday), and at the same time also had a letter saying that I had an offer
so now I just have to actually try and decide where i want to go :

it's not on UCAS yet, or on Durham track for some odd reason, but I have an offer for BBB, and at Josephine Butler college (where I wanted to go) so I'm happy now
what's even better is that means I've had no rejections

now I'm just waiting to find out what my offer from Cardiff is, and I'm going to an open day on monday as well.

Elvencia, what are your predicted grades?

That's a bit weird. Sorry you didn't get in. Have you had any digging experience? Quite a few people had it on my interview and the ones that didn't seemed to struggle a bit. Also they lowered my offer from ABB to BBB because of my experience.

Yeah, I didn't have a great deal to put in my personal statement about experience. I guess that, only just meeting the grades and them having a lot of applicants probably had something to do with it. I'll get over it..

okay, my cardiff offer is BBB as wll, so my parents don't want me to go there.
Looks like my decision is gonna be between Durham and UCL

As nobody's posted here for a while... Has everyone recieved all their offers yet/made decisions? :p:

Ah yes, it was dying a bit, wasn't it?

Well I've received an offer for Arch and Anth from Cambridge (which I intend to accept as my unconditional firm). I have a UCL interview tommorow which I'm going to cancel and I haven't heard a peep from KCL yet. Oh well.

I recieved all my (slightly less high-brow than yours ) offers a while ago, but I'm still trying to decide which to accept. I like things about them all, I guess. Decisions, decisions!
