The answer is usually yes, they sense it a mile off.
A clever trick to win them over is to not chase them, and always appear as though you have other stuff on your mind. Also, smile very cutely as though you feel good about life. They are not the centre of attention then, you are. They get drawn to guys who never chase and only make interaction in small doses infrequently.
