Because it's for paramedic practice and i want to do medicine with 0 funding due to my previous study 😳
I'm really proud about the offer though over 700 applicants for 48 places and I was offered an unconditional one!

What's your progression choice? Will you be ifsy or sys if that's the right names?!

Hi I got an offer that day too! But all I've been told from uni is they will post us details a month before kick start!

Its ts tough not knowing what conditions we need to meet as I'm turning down a fully funded unconditional place but I'm sure it will be worth it and I'm really looking forward to it!

I

The current medicine student need to score an average of 70%+ as well as achieve an average score in the BMAT, and complete a successful interview.

thanks drowsy, I know there's a lot of hoops to jump through still but I'm definitely going to do my best. It's just the kick start thing we are not clear on. All my offer says is successful completion of kick start but it doesn't elaborate on what we have to do in order to complete kick start successfully.

We had to complete a online mini course on how to write an essay followed by completing an essay. We also had a maths course to complete, but you can keep trying on the maths until you finish it.

Really? That's great about the maths drowzy. I've lost sleep about turning down the offer plus handing I. My notice at work then failing the maths and not getting on the course!!!!!! Obv I'm working on my maths because I need to do it next year! But was sooo stressed about what was needed to meet this kickstart offer!
Don't worry I'm sure we will all get with the course just fine ... The kick start thing is a bit confusing but I've heard it isn't that hard. I'm hoping to go on and do mechanical engineering and yeah seems like for everything you need a 70%+ average

I'm about to accept my offer, what about you? I'm really looking forward to it now! Looking forward to handing my notice in but not to the lack of money!

Yeah I accepted my offer as soon as I got it as it was my first choice, will you be staying in student accommodation and if so what price scale are you looking at?? The lack of money is definitely going to be a problem lol

All accepted its all official 😃 I won't be staying in accom as i live half an hour away and I'm married with two kids im 30 😱
With regards to accom though I was very impressed with the one they showed us, I think 181 a week with all bills and food is amaZing especially when you factor in how the other places are not that much cheaper. I've been to uni before and accomm is defiantly an experience, I'd definitely stretch to an en suite at least as health and hygiene completely goes out the window for freshers and on top of the 9-5 lectures you'll be doing unlike everyone else adding catching anything and everything that goes around will make it even more of a challenge 😫

Yeah I live about half an hour away as well so I won't be needing accommodation. Have you received any other offers?

Well I had a go at Arabic and history at soas (school of Oriental and African studies)
Wow !!! How come you decided to Arabic .. Seems on the opposite side of the scale compared to science. Where do you do it ?

I loved history and languages Arabic is soooo hard to learn from new at 18 so I stuck with the history and specialised in South East Asian history.

What about you? 😊

Wow sounds really interesting ... I have been studying science all my life basically. Atm I doing applied science a level and ICT a level without maths a level I am unable to go straight into mechanical engineering hence the foundation year. I lived in Saudi Arabia for 3 years so I know a little Arabic myself and it is nearly impossible to learn
