How to force myself to do work?

I've never really studied to do well, in previous years just a 10 minute looking over exercise book revision is all I needed. But now it's GCSEs so I need to do more work but I don't seem to have the motivation to do work, everything seems long and hard. I want to do a career in dentistry or medicine and I know how demanding it is in terms of academia but I just can't seem to force myself. Any tips or advice?
the key is motivation - think about what type of impact the hard work will have on your future
Well, if you don't work you won't ever become a doctor or dentist, that's for sure. So if the choice ever comes down to FIFA or GCSE revision, just ask yourself whether you still want to be a doctor or whether that no longer matters to you.
