It's good, lots to do and the uni normally has lots to do, loads of really active societies who put on great stuff. Nightlife is ok but not massive.

Any questions just ask

Hi Ali,

I am studying at the moment, I'll be starting my 5th year (Masters in engineering with placement year) by the time you get to uni. Bradford sports are diverse and i think on the last count we had over 50 clubs... you can find it on the university of bradford union website i think.

Personally I am part of Squash and Ultimate frisbee, I've also dabbled in climbing and archery all of which are great. Our archers are internationally competing (and winning) but offer great provision to beginners.

Rugby (union and league), football, hockey, fencing, tennis, badminton, lacrosse, trampolining, are just some of our great clubs with all but the final two being well established and thriving.

As well as competing in BUCS and many of the Northern Cups, we have an annual competition with Huddersfield uni; Varsity. It's a huge rivalry and great fun too! We also do intramural which is people creating teams within the uni and playing around 15 different sports against other teams made within the uni. This is also fun, good to play against mates you've made as well as mates that you're about to make!

Any more for anymore? I'd be happy to answer any other questions.

Sports are an integral part to University life and as mentioned already by JonoW our Student Union (UBU) offers a vast and diverse range of sports from Football, Cricket, Netball and Rugby right the way through to American Football, Equestrian, Fencing and Water Polo.

In addition to the sports and activities available, the UBU offers a great range of services including our advice centres, cinema and radio station, a fully stocked union shop and a bar and entertainment - http://www.ubuonline.co.uk/your-union/

It’s also worth mentioning there is an on-site gym available. For further information about the gym and facilities please visit the Unique Fitness & Lifestyle website - http://www.bradford.ac.uk/unique/

I hope you find this information helpful and if you have any queries about any specific sports or activities we offer please do let me know.
