Free Periods

In general, what do you people on TSR do with their free periods? Is it an accepted thing to socialise with mates or is the time to crack down and do some revision/homework?

Just a year 11 kid wondering.

Depends on the individual. I can't concentrate during free periods if it's too noisy, so I go hide in a dark corner of the school to work. Some people just waste their time though and do work at home

I spent my first free period doing work (couldn't find my friends) and haven't spent my frees in any way else yet :tongue:

Its good getting work over and done with and I often sit with people from my classes and we work things out together :smile:

Honestly, I just play games, except for my free on a Monday where I watch the latest episode of The Walking Dead.

I tend to talk to my friends during my frees but if I'm alone and have work to do I do work.

My free periods were a bit different to other peoples so my lessons are either 2 hours or 3 hours so a free period for me is basically half a day off, which I would spend either sleeping for longer in the morning or going home early. Didn't do anything specific with them though.

Do homework or revise or sit there being stressed but not actually doing any work.

I only do homework if I actually have some due in next lesson or something. If I don't, then I usually just talk to people and go on my phone

My frees are:
Mon - 4 hrs
Tue - 4 hrs
Wed - 1 hr
Thu - 4 hrs
Fri - 3 hrs

can't bring myself to do work so I read a book which I take in, come on here, go on tumblr and twitter and just generally try my best to waste time

In Year 12 I generally went home in my frees. This year, I'm using it for work. To be honest, I think using it for work is a very good idea, it means you can have very little homework!

If I want to be ahead on the work then yes, I just get on with it. or sometimes i do socialise with my friends, but I make sure to prioritize work first.

How do you have frees in year 11... O.o

Anyway, most of the time I do work in mine (4 A2s + life = stress ) but occasionally I just do nothing and go and talk to friends etc.
