Probably the Skoda. The only reason I didn't get one myself is because they didn't offer a car in between the Fabia (too small) and Octavia (too expensive to insure) within my budget so I ended up with a Golf estate.

yeah the skoda is probably the best deal, but im slightly leaning towards the more powerful fiesta

That model Fabia have a habit of burning through quite a bit of oil.
That model polo tend to eat injectors which ain't cheap.

The silver fiesta looks the cleaner of the two, but it's obviously had some sort of bump on the front o/s corner. Bumper is misaligned to the wing and you can see where the skin has hit the armature around the tow hitch cover.
The blue / black fiesta looks like it's got a really dirty interior.

I wouldn't bother with any of them.

Dirty interior would be the least of my concerns, are you saying I shouldn't pursue the 03/04 polos?
What do you recommend I get for a 1.2 thats £2000 or under

Dirty interior is indicative of someone that just can't be arsed to look after their cars.
I bet the body was hardly ever washed and it's a good chance it was hardly ever serviced or had any maintenance done to it between MOT's.

Listen, for 2 grand you aught to be able to get something 8-10 years old with full history and less than 40k miles on the clock.

Fiesta 39k miles 03 plate £2000 - bit of a scratch on n/s rear wheel arch, could equally be polish? Worth asking questions about though...

This is the sort of things you need to be looking at. Tidy low mileage stuff.

F U D G E I wish you had told me sooner:frown: I bought that dirty ass blue/black fiesta for £1795 without telling them to change the cambelt, I'm gonna take it to a more reputable garage to get it done, I know I'm one impatient ****

When do you recommend I should take the car to a garage to get the water pump+cambelt replaced? its done 76kmiles and its 04reg

Now.

Interval on cambelt / waterpump is 10 years or 100k on a fiesta.

Good luck with it...

My cheapest quote I got to change the cambelt+waterpump+auxiliary belt was £350, is that worth it?

Depends on whether you think you'll find a cheaper replacement engine if it goes bang...

If the cambelt snaps (which you'll get no warning of it going) you'll need a new engine.
