For me prevention is better than cure so death penalty it should be but i know some will disagree.

The sad thing is, this man's life will probably be in danger once he outs himself to the world. And if he has indeed not committed any crimes against a child then that is a complete injustice. It's pretty obvious that there is not enough if at all any support for those with sexual thoughts towards children to come forward and seek help...and no wonder they don't when people like OP think they should be killed regardless of if they have committed a crime.

Sometimes people make me sick, and no it's not the paedophile who has not committed a crime that makes me sick (though his thoughts do), it's the people who won't allow help to reach them because their heads are too small to see how it could actually make a difference and prevent future sexual crimes against children.

The reason why i think they should be killed is because its cheaper than life imprisonment and we are currently in tough economic times. Thats the only other option for people like them.
People like that CANNOT be fully rehabilitated.
They are scum.

And so what if it's cheaper, it could be cheaper to leave you to die rather than treat you if you became ill but that won't happen because we are a civilised country.

Imo there's a huge difference between a Paedophile and a child molester. A Paedophile is just someone with a mental illness (I'm sure there are some who would argue it's a sexual orientation but I'm not going to discuss that). They think about things which other people (and possibly they themselves) find disturbing, to say the least. But punishing them through prison or death penalty is pointless. You want to give everyone who has once thought about murdering people or stealing something the death penalty too, while you're at it? It's your actions which define you, not your thoughts. And they'd be far less likely to act on their disgusting fantasies if society decided to help them through therapy etc. rather than drive them underground. There's nothing more dangerous than a group of people who all share sick fantasies. They would (and probably do) encourage each other.

I think child molesters should be separated from society because they are clearly a danger. I also think there needs to be punishment given to those who support the disgusting child pornography industry, because it contributes towards the suffering of children and there needs to be a deterrent.

But yeah, I totally get where you're coming from because I used to have a similar opinion when I was younger. Over the last few years I've tried to think about things from other people's perspectives more generally, though. These people didn't choose to be paedophiles, and undoubtedly there are a lot of people out there who share the opinion that 'all pedos should die'. Pretty much all of them live with a secret which the know if it got out, everyone would hate them and want them dead, possibly and probably including some friends and family. That's not going to help matters, because it will often lead to depression etc., I'm sure, and that'll make it more likely they'll actually do something awful. I do encourage you to think about it, at least.

It's also interesting to note that not all child molesters are paedophiles.
