I watched the fishmonger lift/pass/grab the fish before laying/slapping/placing it down delicately/gently/haphazardly/roughly on the table/cutting board/work surface. He/She then proceeded to carefully/precisely/quickly/expertly slice/cut/dismantle the fish into smaller sections amongst the business/noise/chaos of the market.
