Moot Help - Lottery Win/Remoteness

Hi All

I have a moot this week and I have to argue that because A recommended a car to B which subsequently broke down, B was unable to play her usual lottery numbers and lost £15,000.

My lead counsel is arguing that there is a duty of care as per Chaudry v Prahabkbar - however, I have the task of arguing that the loss was not too remote.

I think my best bet is the 'loss of chance' cases.

Anyone else agree or have any other insight?
