I just got a rejection from Durham gutted o well.. c'est la vie i suppose
just waiting for st andrews which i will be rejected from but it is a lottery i suppose isn't it?

Soz for tht yea unis can realli b hit and miss it realli depends on the mood of the admissions tutor.... Where else have u applied?
Also does any one else find that they are really addicted to the ucas log in system...It's become the centre of my day,,,,Only joking lol...but it is really addictive. As an aside hu has applied for deferred entry?

Portsmouth BBC (insurance)

Very happy with Kings, I applied as part of a joke as I never thought I would get in, they must be scraping the bottom of the barrel.

i have 5 conditional offers now for BA Geography from...

KCL- BBB
Manchester- AAB
Leeds- AAB
Sheffield- ABB
Exeter- ABC

still waiting for UCL to reply.

but i have no idea where to go now.

Recieved all my replies now, for BA Geography 2007

Hull - BBB
Sussex - BBB (or 330 including 1 AS Level, so BBC for me)
Sheffield - Rejected (unsurprising)
Newcastle - BBB (generous offer I think, not sure if there's been a mix-up somewhere!)
Leicester - BBB
Liverpool - ABB

Got all my offers back all for straight Geography.

Oxford - Rejected oh well.
Bristol - AAB (1st choice)
Southampton -AAB
Exeter - ACC (insurance maybe)
Reading - BBB
Swansea - ACC. (300 points)

If anyone else is putting Bristol as their 1st choice msg me.
Oh and does anyone know if you have Geography exams in Bristol in January?

AS's - Geography (A) Biology (A) Chemistry (A) Economics (A).
A level prediction - AAA (geog, chem and bio)

Just found this thread - hopeless at navigating around tsr lol I've applied to these unis:

Cambridge (Churchill) AAA
Durham (St Marys) AAB
Nottingham aab
St Andrews (BA & BSc) Pending
Edinburgh - pending

It's between Cambridge and Durham at the moment. For those who have offers at Durham, are you planning to go up to the opendays in March?

Durham geography open days are fantastic. Personally, as a Durham geographer I'd say Cambridge.

I'm not quite as smart as you guys, so have gone for some of the "lower" uni's, haha. Anyway:

Aberystwyth : Human geography + Film/Television studies : 280 points and a B in Geography.
Cardiff : Human geography and Town Planning : Rejected
Kingston : Geographic Information Systems : Interview
Bristol : Education Studies (random...) : 260 points
Bath Spa : Geographic Information Systems : 220 points
Gloustershire : Human Geography : 220 points and a C in Geography

Anyone have any opinions on these, as im not too sure where to go! I'm a home bird so don't want to stray too far from my home, in Cornwall! haha.

i was extremely lucky n got all offers but dnt not what to pic as insurance

cambridge downing aaa (firm)
bristol aab
southampton aab
leeds abb (insurance?)
sheffield ab (insurance?)
loughborugh bbb (insurance?)

insurance needs to be gd as may not get the grades for cambridge. i wanna a uni that will have as much of a social if not more then the academic side. any ideas???

I have an interview at the UCL on the 28th of Feb for Geography.. i was wondering if anyone could help me in preparation for the itnerview...i.e would anyone know what type of questions they may ask...

did you have to attend an open day??cos on the open day i went on last week for UCL they told us they no longer interview...all we had to do is listen to a talk and go to a seminar...nothing to panic about!

p.s I will also be at durham open days....any advice durham or UCL its soo so difficult to decide

I am ! I am doing it as a day trip , the fun! But o well i just can't wait to spend like 8 hours on a train , like 4 hours there and 4 hours back..
