Hello,I join here because I want to improve my English and make friends.By the way,I am a Chinese and my major in university is English Literature. You know, our teachers are almost Chinese and we hardly use English in our daily life.I think I can not really improve my English in that way. However,I know TSR by accident and join it.I hope it will help.

Hello,
I joined TSR today because I also need help : I'm a French student and I will get my baccalauréat at the end of this year and I absolutely don't know what studies I could do after. I panic a little because the registration will close soon and I am lost.. I thought I can maybe go abroad for one year or more because i'm sure it can help me a lot for many reasons but I still need to built a future project... Is someone is (or was) in this situation?
Margot

Yes, there are lots of people on TSR who are or have been in exactly that situation. It's probably best to go to the A Levels tab, and select IB, then you can find all of the people and discussion around studying IB.

Hi there, I joined a few days ago but I didn't log in again since that day. I was born in Romania and I come from a Romanian family, but I actually grew up in Spain, however a few year ago I had to move to London because of my studies. At the moment I am doing my A-levels in Physics, Business, ICT and Spanish, i quite enjoy the school life at my sixth form but the problem is that my English skills are as you see awful. So I joined TSR because I know that people here have good sources of information that will not only help me improve my English spoken skills, but it will also help me get the most of my A-levels.

Thank you, that's the only thing I'm good at, and I don't know why I'm a better writer than speaker when it is supposed that write in English is harder than speaking. But yeah, I hope that one day I will be able to speak English fluently since I've got plenty of time to do so as I will go to university here in London or Oxford if I get the grades needed
Yes 1st year & it's made me question if I want to continue in the career I have been I and enjoyed for the last 10 years. Thanks for your comment I may call on you soon

Your welcome! Oh, haha yh, i'm suprised actually, the fact that you can write English perfectly but not speak it as perfectly. You'll be fine, and will be able to speak it fluently in a couple of months. All the best!

Hi everyone!

I joined because I'm looking for willing people to help complete a short survey on mobile usage at live music events for my dissertation research. If you have a spare 5 minutes, any help would be really appreciated  here's the link to my survey just in case, thanks! Tom

Hello
I joined today because I have recently decided to take on the mammoth task of educating myself :woo:
I was supposed to take GCSE exams this summer but moved back a year at school because I only attended 4 days in my original year 10 :colone: Anyway this year it isn't going too well (non academic reasons) and it seems to me that I won't be able to get the results I need carrying on like this  The only way forward is perhaps to teach myself IGCSE's from scratch :top2:
