Screen experience day???

So the university of hull have invited me to a 'screen experience day'. On the website, it says this is an 'opportunity to get to know them and for them to get to know me'. I am wondering if this is a formal thing? It is classed in the interview sector when you book it BUT the schedule emailed to me simply says there is a seminar, tour and literally 'afternoon tea' which sound quite informal to me.

Is this just a formality they have to do? Or will they be assessing me on anything?

If it matters, I have applied to study English and Film.
