Question about Deferred Entry Application Process

So I'm not yet applying for uni, but I'm pretty sure I'll want to take a gap year when I do. But something I'd really like to know is whether an application for a deferred entry is basically the same as applying for the following year (just with the one-year delay before you start), or whether things like offers, interviews and portfolio interviews would happen the year after, a bit like if you had waited a year before applying?

You go through the exact same application process as people who are applying to go straight to uni and you'll do everything at the same time, the only difference is the year of entry on your paperwork :smile:
