Is this diffraction or refraction?

Feather on a glass table, light from the ceiling reflecting on the table and coming through the feather scattered like with a prism.

Is the light diffracted or refracted in this case? Idk what material it would be refracting through but I know diffraction does happen with feathers but idk if diffraction is visible on the thing itself or does it have to be projected onto something like a white wall?
It's a so called diffraction effect.
The strands of the feather are acting in the same way as a diffraction grating.
You can get diffraction from transmitted light, through the feather, and also from reflected light from the feather.
You can see reflected diffraction from light reflected from a CD or DVD.
