What don't you understand?
To find the pH, you just put the conc. H+ ions into the formula -log[H+]
To do the reverse and find the [H+], you just put into your calculator 10-pH value

pH=-log[H+]
I understand how to find out concn of H+, but I cant see to work out the inverse to work out the pH

okay first understand logs

log = log (10)
log (10) X = Y
this means 10 ^ Y = X

the same as log 5 25 = 5
cus 5 to the power of 5 = 25

so you have ph = - log [h+]

ph multiply -1 = log [h+]
so 10 to the power of -ph = [h+] ( as log = log10 !!)

hope this is useful and cleared up some misunderstandings.
