Best Gaming Laptop?

Just get a gaming desktop and a work laptop (which nowadays come with extremely capable onboard intel chips anyway - yes they do). Gaming laptops are a waste of money.

Some people like the convenience of being able to have a gaming machine that they can move around or take with them on travel. It's certainly not a waste of money to people like them.
I own a gaming laptop, with a GTX 770M, and I can still play almost every game out there at High/Ultra with around 50/60 FPS (though maybe with AA turned down a bit at times). It is a bit dependent on the game. With mobile GPUs, games tend to either work really well or have issues.

Yeah, I wouldn't go for the MSI. I have a Sager/Clevo (the barebones model that PCSpecialist repackages) and absolutely love it. My only complaint with the laptop is that the fans get pretty loud when you are doing intense gaming, and the laptops are quite unimpressive looking and heavy, but they get the job done in terms of gaming.

I am bit surprised how expensive Sager/Clevo are in the UK.

Best Gaming laptop is obviously Alienware. However, with a £1200 budget, you'd get so much more out of it by building your own laptop.

That website gives you the option to choose what you want in your laptop. This varies from hardware like graphic cards and screen sizes, to software such as the OS. You pick the hardware and software, they build it and send it to you. You just gotta do some research in which components are best for gaming. Good luck

Sure, if you prefer flashing lights and design over the components and want to pay twice as much for it. Those things look so hideous, I would hate bringing it anywhere.

I prefer the bland look that sager/clevo has. Something I can actually take around with me, and be discreet with it.
I guess its time for me to step in and brush everyone elses recommendations away into the wind

If you are willing to stretch your budget to just under £1300, this beauty will be a dream come true.
It has a GTX 870M with 6GB GDDR5 and is a Maxwell chip which is pretty great in and of itself, has a Quad Core i7 Haswell CPU, 8GB RAM, a 1440P IPS LCD display, 256GB M.2 PCIE SSD(uber fast) and other awesome features.

It has support for HDMI, Display Port so you can output to an external display, you can upgrade the storage and RAM, its pretty thin and small as well. I could have gone about recommending you a bunch of 15-17 inch laptops but they're too big to justify honestly, at that size I would have said just go and grab a desktop

Origin PC produces high quality and high performance gaming laptops from what I heard. You can customise the specifications of laptops too if you have the money.

Here is their website: http://www.originpc.com/

Origin PC were founded by ex-Alienware employees and is a boutique gaming PC company so do check them out or consider them as one of your options.
