Subjective recklessness

Is there anyone out there that can help with this?

In this context for example:-

Defendant makes loads of telephone calls to a girl he wants to date, but cannot speak when she answers the phone as he is too scared.

This happens frequently to the point she is scared to answer her phone and scared to leave the house in case she is being followed. She is confirmed as suffering from severe depression and becomes housebound.

Defendant has absolutely no idea that his actions would be able to cause anything like this.

As he has no idea what his actions will do, then how can he be subjectively reckless?

Thanks to anyone that can help!
