That's a very difficult question to answer, especially for History. What exam boards does your school do? They should tell you what topics you will study.

I dont know about history but Im currently doing biology and its my least favourite, i also do physics chemistry and maths. After half term i will drop biology because to be honest i dont care how a fish breathes or how water potential works its way up the xylem in a ****ing plant. But if you are into that, then you will cover basic biochemistry, organic molecules, saccharides, enzymes, genetics, circulatory and respiratoty system in insects, aquatics and humans, taxonomy and other things. Before making any A level choices if you are in year 11, read the specifications and make sure you are interested in each topic, I did that and i am genuienely interested in all my chemistry and physics topics i love it but i just chose biology as a i needed to chose a fourth but now i cant bear it anymore as im not interested
I envy you! I have had to do Modern China as my topic for my EPQ investigation because of my school not covering it. In relation to OP's question, my year 12 history modules were the 1960s Britain and 1500s Cultural reformation in Europe. My year 13 module is British Monarchy 17th century with Cromwell Charles and co. My historical enquiry was based on European genocide.
