How would I cover three subjects in a Personal Statement?

If all goes well in the summer, I will apply to the following courses:

BA Archaeology - University of Bristol
BA Archaeology - University of Exeter
BA Oriental Studies (Egyptology) - University of Oxford
BA Ancient History and Egyptology - University College London

Plus one more. Would these subjects be too wide to cover? I would specialise in Egypt if I studied Archaeology as that is the topic I am most interested in. Thanks in advance.

Personally, I think it would be very difficult to cover all three subjects in enough depth at the same time as sounding equally passionate and dedicated to all of them.
Yes I agree with the poster above. Archaeology will be a very different structure with fieldwork skills whereas history will be more focused purely on the academic stuff
You'd probably want to discuss archaeology with egyptian as a strong focus.

I wouldn't go into ancient history though as well as a big part. Weave it all in.

Sadly that's UCL's only course which offers Egyptology. It's very much based on Egypt, though, so that one should be all right. What worries me is applying to competitive places like Bristol and Exeter for Archaeology.

Just be like

The study of ancient history through archaeology excites me to no end. The way in which we can form a story and piece together life thousands of years ago based on artefacts bla bla

Egypt is an area of particular interest to me bla bla bla

Thanks! Good idea! The thing is, there are barely any Egyptology courses so I'd have to apply for Archaeology as well, anyway.

I'm sure they'd appreciate that. You can email unis anyway asking what they'd expect with your situation

Did you need the exclamation mark? No. I was suppose to know that because?

I meant it in a happy kind of way. If I'd put a full stop it would have sounded abrupt and rude.

That's a pretty good range, although I'd say to do History instead of English Literature or Chemistry. Doing Science subjects leaves the BSc route open, which is good. Have you read a lot about Archaeology and Egyptology? I'd say apply for museums and digs, but get some other work experience, too, in case you change your mind. I've done law and banking related stuff as well.
