Apple ID- someone else using my email address?

In the past 45 mins, I've received about 5 emails from [email protected] telling me that I recently selected <my email address> as my new Apple ID.

The email isn't written to my name/email account name but I know for a fact that this Apple ID isn't mine. I have one under a different email address.

I also got an email saying that my email address was used to sign into iCloud on an Ipad.

These things definitely aren't me. Is there any way I could get my email address taken off this account? :confused:

I was going to email Apple but they have decided not to have a support email address :mad:

Is it definately an email from apple?

Could it b a fake email trying to get your details?

I'm really not sure! I've googled it and I was on the apple support forum and some were saying it is real and some saying its fake :confused:

It asks me to press a link to verify it but when I log onto hotmail from my laptop, it has the shield sign next to it to say it is from a trusted sender (except the email that said the ID has been used to sign into iCloud)

Hiya,

I had a look here.

Im pretty sure its fake. It looks like someone spoofed the email and is trying to get hold of your login, so best to ignore it.

Weird thing is I don't have an apple ID associated to that particular email address. I do have an apple ID, but that is using a different email address.
