Low on money: Can I still study?

Hi,

i really want to study psychology or medicine to help people. But as a nurse I don't really make a fortune. :frown: Normal university fees in the UK are very expensive for me. Unfortunately, my parents cannot really help either.

Any advice on how to improve my financial situation or at least get through the 'university years' would be very much appreciated. I guess some of you guys are already studying and now how to handle this stuff, what jobs you can take etc. I also considered keeping my current job, but I think this will be very tough.

Thanks for all help,
Linda

You should qualify for Student Finance (and NHS support for some degrees) if you meet some basic criteria. How old are you and have you lived in the UK? Do you already have a degree?

If you qualify for SF, then you are guaranteed a Tuition Fee Loan which will cover all of your tuition fees.
What country are you from? It sounds as though you're not from UK?
