Personally I find having a penis is a more sturdy grounding to that theory.
Probably just not the kind of people who text each other celebrations. I think I texted 2 people, one my best friend who I talk to nearly every day and another a girl I'd slept with a few days before, then a group chat where others had started saying it and I didn't want to seem like I didn't care. So personally I think it's not unreasonable to just not send people the text.

I barely talk to my best friend and we didn't wish each other merry Christmas, having said that he moved to Sheffield a few years ago for uni, but we meet when he's back and we still know each other as best friends...
The majority of my friends didn't wish me Merry Christmas on the day and I didn't think anything of it!

Don't worry too much about it, I'm sure it doesn't mean anything!
