ok, so im doing as level

chemsitry
physics

i need to drop one one of em (apart from phys, i need that i kno)

so which one??

me personally wana take art to A2...by dropping chemsirty

so a good choice or what???

and what unis would u say are good to aply for etc...
(i prefer city, but ne others and plz state why aswell?? )

Hi, Im doing my A2 this yr, well hoping to do Optometry at Cardiff Uni in September 2004. There's only 8 Uni's in UK that do the course so the competition is pretty high. Im doing Biology, Chemistry and Psychology at A2, and most places only require 2 from Biology, Chemsitry, Maths or Physics. so if u decide to drop Chemistry, it wont matter that much coz ul still have Physics and Biology, plus Art as your 3rd subject. This is the ranking of Uni's to do Bsc Optometry:

1. Cardiff - generally asking for AAB
2. UMIST - generally asking for ABB (A must be in Biology)
3. Aston - generally asking for AAB
4. Bradford - genrally asking for ABB
5. City - not sure
6. Glasgow - BBB i think
7. Anglia Polytechnic University - BBB
Ulster (i think its that, but thats in N.Ireland.) - not sure

Just make sure u have work experience in an Optician and so u can write about it in your Personal Statement. Plus the good thing is, there are no interviews for the course, so u wont need to worry in that respect.

so can i drop physics ?? don't really need that if its any two?? or shall i confirm with unis, plus another issue, how were ya gcses grades, do unis look for this course really consider that, coz say for example, i have As,B,Cs etc (BB at science, C in engl and maths)...u think im in a problem??

or that can br overcoem by getting good grades e.g A, B, B at a levels??

btw, if you don't mind, u have msn??
