The grudge and sinister. I had to force someone to walk me to the bathroom after because I was that scared.

Films these days are barely 'scary'. Also, most overmilk the whole exorcism/possessed storyline, which is yawn
I heard 'A Serbian movie' was a very disturbing film according to people that have watched it. Subsequently the film was banned in many countries
The original version of "Shutter" scared the **** out of me for some reason, I actually objectively feel like I've watched scarier movies but I seriously had to psych myself up to watch it a second time and I was on edge through the whole thing haha.
I couldn't sleep well after watching Dark Skies.
But the scariest thing I ever watched was a documentary about sleep paralysis, where people would describe their experiences. Me and my sister never slept well after that
