NO2 valence electrons (Repost)

This is a repost of a thread I already created about the number of valence electrons around the radical NO2. Is it 7 right?

Easy question. Just want to make sure tho.

No. Valence electrons refer to all of the outer shell electrons in the molecule

My bad. The question asked around the central atom which is Nitrogen in this case, so seven right?
and if in the whole molecule then it's simply 5+6+6 right?
