response to 'Why do working class kids end up in working class jobs.'
I think that you can't blame the working class parents for their kids education or what job they have in the future. i believe that it is a two part blame, government and society in general as they have created a stigma around the working class and their jobs. I think that the government should provided better resources for the working class students for example one to one support if they need it or request it. I also think they should alter the curriculum so there is no stigma towards the working class in a school system that is dominated by middle class students with their norms and values stated by Keddie
