How long does it take to cover FP1, M1 or D1?

How long did it take you to finish one of these modules?

I've recently started further maths and have covered 3 FP1 chapter so far in this christmas holiday. I feel as though I don't have enough time to finish all three by may/june to get a good enough grade (A/B).

I put in 2 hours a week (almost no work outside lessons) into D1, and had it finished from September to December (~30 hours). The past papers took me almost the amount of time given in the actual exam, so that was quite a shock.

In the same period of time I had a goal of finishing my AS Further Maths modules before the new year and then A2 before May. I put in a fair bit of work and so I'd already started S3/FP2 by December. So I can't remember specifically how long M1 and FP1 took but it should be doable before May/June.

I'd advise setting a goal of 1 module a month, seeing as you've done some of FP1, finishing by March or early April. This should leave you enough time to revise, but make sure that your mocks take priority if you have those to do this month.
