What happens to your AS results if you fail A2?

I got a U for my A2 maths exams last year (mostly due to my personal situation at the time). However I did a lot better in my AS result and I'm wondering what happens to it now. Is it discounted now that Ive carried on with the qualification or can I keep the AS result on its own?

do you mean a U for your overall A Level? If that's the case your AS result wouldn't matter since the U would be your final qualification. You can't keep the result on its own unless all you did was an AS Level.

Yeah I meant for the overall qualification. Ah, that's what I was afraid of!

You should still have an AS certificate and that is perfectly valid. If you don't have an AS certificate then check with your old centre and ask the exams officer to cash the AS in for you if it hasn't been done.
