How do I get out of polite conversation with a girl?

Whenever we chat, it's always polite and just general chit chat. I want us to be able to talk about anything, how do I do this?
Ask her if she wants to have sex.

Politics? :afraid: Ask her things about herself OP, or ask her if she wants to do something more casual ie get a drink etc.

It's a controversial topic which could cause stimulating conversation....

I could talk about football and hip-hop all day long but most girls would just switch off so yeah.

But isn't politics a bit too serious considering the fact that he wants to move from acquaintances to friends. I think asking about her would be the best OP, that's what I'd want the guy to do anyway.
