Urgent: Work Experience HELP!!!

So today I was told that I had to have a work experience sorted by THIS FRIDAY, basically giving me 2 days to sort out a placement. I was told at the start of the academic year that I had till April/May to sort it out, so I decided to take my time with it. I have to do work experience in June/July and I'm lost on places to do it, help me out? I live in Birmingham but I am able to do places in London as I have family who live there.
I'm in Year 10 and I'm really interested in working in the fashion industry and journalism and I want to do it in places involving them! If you have any ideas let me know!

I've had to write my own CV and cover letter without the help of ANY teachers too. None of my teachers are giving me recommendations of places look at, and everywhere I've called is busy.

Wow, when I was at school they literally gave us a job for a couple of weeks. Do all your friends have to find their own one as well? Have they got something sorted or? How can they spring something like this out of the blue though? They must have given some other warnings besides the one notice you got at the start of the academic year? What if you don't get a placement sorted, can you just sit at home until school starts again?

Without any help and with such short notice, it's going to be very hard to sort something now unless you got family or friends working in the sectors you want to get work in. If you need some CV help, or have already got a cv or cover letter, I can possibly help you out or one of the specialists on tsr could help you editing it to make it more professional?

Basically the lady in charge of work experience at our school said that next week she's going to go round to everyone's placements to make sure they're all suitable, so there is no way of me staying at home. They've told us that we have a lot of time to be looking for work experience and we should organize it so in 2015 we do our interviews for it, I've emailed places in November that haven't replied which is annoying as I'd rather them admit to not offering work experience so I don't have to sit and wait. My brother and sister work in London so I'm going to wait for them to get back from work and call them and see if i can sit with them for two weeks if i cant find anything.

My friends do separate sciences and have been given a compulsory biology residential DURING work experience which is why today has been so hectic as one of my friends already fought for her first week of work experience at an architecture place and now she's only going to get 2 days there and who would want a 15 year old to do work experience with them for 2 days? My school have completely f-ed up work experience for our year group.

if I don't get one by Friday or at least an interview then I'll have to do it in school which is disgusting
