Is there any scheme available that helps to pay for access courses? Some are pretty pricey.

If you're 24 or over, you can get the 24+ Advanced Learning Loan:

Hi, I got onto my access course with a 24+ loan if you plan to apply for one apply asap and ensure someone can vouch for you. A girl on my course is still having issues with hers and we've been the for four months now! Good luck

Wow, ok, I'm 23 in a week and won't be applying until 2016, when j turn 24. Could I apply when I'm 23 if my start date is after my 24th birthday.
