My flatmate has became best friends with my ex

It wasn't something minor, she was controlling because it was always her decision to do things, if we go somewhere she always chooses and didn't treat the relationship equal so I got fed up with it all.
They both met through me, they wouldn't know each other otherwise. Before they would only talk if I was there but now I'm not with my ex its extremely weird that she is still turning up but not for me. I do not want to ruin my relationship with my best friend as she hasn't actually done anything nasty just the fact she befriended my ex.
I want to move on and eventually find someone else more suitable so I don't really want my ex being in the house when it happens.
