Hydrogen bonding?

Hello i need help in hydrogen bonding... i dont really get the hydrogen bonding..

some can just explain what is hydrogen bonding?

and how do we use hydrogen bonding to explain the peculiarity (spell?) of water?
what effect it has on water?

i really need help with these urgently. i searched alot but didnt get anything..:frown:

Its basically where you have hydrogen bonded to a highly electronegative atom like flourine, nitrogen or oxygen. The shared electrons are pulled away from the hydrogen and close to the other atom in the bond. This creates a small positive charge on the hydrogen, which is then strongly attracted to the lone pairs on the N, F or O of other molecules.
