TSR my space bebo porn games and other random site. You can go on some game websites bit not a lot. Youtube is still there though.

My school has blocked ANY windows live page, so no hotmail or anything related. Nothing fun at all, I'm surprised we are even allowed on UCAs as that is vaguely fun to check.

My school blocks off everything a pupil goes onto that's not educational... Sucks really.

My school blocks anything that's pornographical etc - you can still get on to myspace though! And the filter things quite lousy at ours - it's surprising what sick images will turn up when you just type in random things on google images

Most sites worth going on have been blocked; MySpace, TSR, Google Images, Yahoo Images, any forum, anything with the word 'game' in it. They have banned practically everything worth going on, and I don't see why image searching has been banned, what's the point?

Ours have blocked the BBC audio/video news, but not You Tube.

In general the blocking isn't too bad, but there are some bizarre things, like they've blocked the chief examiner's website of one of the courses we do. :wtf?:

I just tried to view the I-Soc (islamic society) thread, from my County Council library, and was unable to view it. Got this message: #

and Glasgow universtity undergrad page!

My school is pathetic when it comes to blocking things. Tsr is blocked, hotmail, some google searches, they have even blocked ucas apply cos its a pop up :| Cos thats intelligence :rolleyes:

Well a year ago at my college they blocked loads of sites like hotmail and gmail. However the students boycotted the system by refusing to use the computers to print off work for lessons. In the end, the teachers had no choice but to take off the blocking system however they now have strict rules saying that anybody caught "misusing" the internet will face automatic suspension.
