Postdoc at SOAS (Past university, somewhat unrelated Masters, funding options)

Hello!

I just have a few doubts regarding the postdoc programs at SOAS.

1. How much does your previous university matter while applying to SOAS? I got an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship and I've been to a few mid-to-low tier universities in Europe. Will it seriously affect my chances of getting in?

2. Is it possible to get into SOAS if your Master's program is not related/or maybe only marginally related to the field you wish to do a postdoc in?

3. Are funding options easy to come by for postdocs (in South Asia, culture, literary studies) at SOAS?

Thanks a lot everybody!

I would probably send them an email. SOAS is quite competitive due to the specialist nature of its courses, but you should stand a good chance with good references etc.

Funding options are probably hard to come by though especially in more Arts based courses.
